Seventeen_Host Hey there people! Seventeen_Host Amy Jo plays Julie on TV's "Felicity". We are all sooooo dying to know what is going to happen to Felicity and Julie's relationship this season after the whole Ben thing goes down. Do you think if we beg Amy Jo will tell us who Felicity is going to pick? I bet we are going to have to wait until the season premiere on Sunday. Amy Jo recently starred in the VH1 movie "Sweetwater". Amy Jo is an amazing musician and songwriter. That's really her singing and playing on "Felicity". Do you all remember Amy Jo as the Pink Power Ranger? Seventeen_Host Welcome Amy Jo Johnson! Amy Jo (as we all know) co-stars on Felicity. She plays Felicity's best friend Julie. seventeen_amy_jo Hi everybody. Seventeen_Host Amy Jo is currently in New York for the kick-off of the "First Mentors" program which unites college students with children in need of a caring friend and role model. Seventeen_Host: She would love to answer any questions about the program as well as questions about her life, career, and, of course, "Felicity[quote] Seventeen_Host ok, here comes the first question, Amy Jo bippy1992 asks Just wanted to say I totally loved your performance in 'Sweet Water'..and I was wondering if you have CD's out or plan to..thanks..~Becky seventeen_amy_jo Thank you very much. Right now I'm just playing around Hollywood and putting a band together. Hopefully around next year I'll have a CD out. littlehuff asks do you ever think you'll leave acting to pursue your music career?? seventeen_amy_jo No, I love them both equally. I will always do acting and music. carmengia3 asks Amy, do you know any martial arts, and also, what makes you laugh and do you have any ticklish spots? seventeen_amy_jo I was a gymnast for 10 years and I love to have my feet tickled. littlehuff asks how do you handle being a role model? seventeen_amy_jo I think it's really important, the messages we give off in Felicity. I think the show gives off messages in a really delicate and classy way. In a way, it's almost like First Mentors program. The difference would be that First Mentors would be a hands-on mentoring relationship for college students and kids from 8 to 12. littlehuff asks what would people be surprised to know about you?? seventeen_amy_jo They would be surprised to know that I'll be at Fordham University tomorrow For the First Mentors kick-off. And we hope to bring this program to at least 100 colleges by the end of the school year. Tuxedo_Ken asks How did you get chosen to play Kimberly on Mighty Morphin Power Rangers? seventeen_amy_jo I went through an auditioning process of about 8 auditions. shakina_99 asks Amy, has acting always been your decision? Or did you want to be something else? seventeen_amy_jo I've always wanted to do something that was in the arts. Either painting or singing or acting. I've always been drawn to that. mystic2032.geo asks Are there any bloopers on the set and if so will you share some?? seventeen_amy_jo There's frequently a lot of bloopers, because we end up in giggle fits during serious scenes. And we end up having to do another take. They will let you know how to get started kschur31 asks how did you get involved with the program seventeen_amy_jo I'm involved for a couple different reasons. The first one would be that growing up, I had a lot of amazing mentors. Such as my gymnastic coaches My real-life older brother and older sister and also my mother I feel very fortunate to have those people to talk to. A lot of these kids in Big Brothers/Big Sisters program come from single parented families. or troubled homes, or even families where they don't have an older brother or older sister to talk to There's so many issues in this world today like drugs and sex and just everyday life things to talk about It's so important to have a mentor or role model or someone to inspire you about the future. sailor_mars153 asks What Acting Job Of Yours Was Your Favorite??? seventeen_amy_jo I think most challenging was Sweetwater. Most fun, because of the gymnastics was A Perfect Body. My favorite character is Julie on Felicity. PrezGAR asks First, I think youy should have recieved an Emmy nomination, based on the date-rape episode. Second, aside from the yet-to-be released Cold Hearts, do you have any other non-Felicity projects in the works? seventeen_amy_jo Thank you very much for the compliment. Right now, I'm just working on my music on the side. ChaosAngel99 asks Do you have any celebrity crushes? seventeen_amy_jo Right now I don't really have a crush on anybody -- real life or fantasy. prorangr asks How did the infamous rape episodes make the real you feel emotionally? seventeen_amy_jo It was a fulfilling episode to film because there were so many different layers and so many different emotions going through my character, and that's always fun as an actress. SnapperShot asks Are you mentoring anyone right now? seventeen_amy_jo No, with my schedule on Felicity and concentrating on my music, I'm not doing it in a hands-on way but, like I said I think of myself as a role model to all the girls and guys that watch the show. afflecktion21 asks WHAT ARE YOUR BIGGEST FEARS? seventeen_amy_jo I guess not having a creative outlet and being stifled that way and just suddenly waking up and being uninspired. XanderBing asks Do you hang out with Keri and everyone else offset? seventeen_amy_jo We work so much together. We spend like 12-14 hours a day working on set that we kinda go our separate ways offset But every now and then we hang out. I always go to Keri's boyfriend's shows and the cast comes to my shows that I play at. dark_jewel_420 asks hey will you ever do a power rangers reunion show? seventeen_amy_jo I would tend to not think so. nickollette_s asks If you were taken by aliens and they were about to erase all of your memories except for one, which one memory would you keep? seventeen_amy_jo Christmases with my family. And my mother's laugh courtney_ann_18 asks What was your favorite summer movie that came out? seventeen_amy_jo I haven't had a lot of time to go to the movies, but I really liked The Sixth Sense and Stir of Echoes. I'm a huuuuge Julia Roberts fan and I loved Notting Hill. joiababe asks Hi Amy, can you tell us any secrets about what's in store for the second season of Felicity, particualry with your character and finding her birth mom? seventeen_amy_jo With my character, I think she's gonna have a more positive outlook. She's going to school to have fun this year. Last year she dealt with a lot of serious issues. I think this year will be interesting for all the characters because now this is our sophomore year We've already established all the relationships, so it will be cool to see what the storylines are going to be for us. grizelda22 asks MUSIC IS EXTREMELY INSPIRING TO ME, IS THERE ANY BANDS/SINGERS THAT INSPIRE YOUR CREATIVELY? seventeen_amy_jo Yes many. LARK123 asks On Power Rangers did you do all of the stunts? seventeen_amy_jo Not in my suit I did all the fighting when I was in civilian clothing.sfucmns asks Amy Jo, do you think that Felicity is more of a realistic representation of life for young people then some of the other shows out there? seventeen_amy_jo: I think that Felicity is pretty much a realistic representation Remember it is television, and there are restrictions that we have to deal with. In the sense of emotions that college-age people go through, I think we're pretty right on. ChaosAngel99 asks How do you feel about all the hype surrounding Felicity? seventeen_amy_jo I usually try not to think about that stuff. But I think it's awesome that there is hype about it. dds2591 asks Do you think you would have liked to have been a singer at Woodstock (the original one) like they character you played in Sweetwater? seventeen_amy_jo I think that would have been an incredible experience. How amazing it must have been for those musicians. shakina_99 asks Is your family artistically inclined? Your siblings? Your mom? seventeen_amy_jo My mom was really good at drawing. My sister is pretty good at it too. iluvnsyncers_99 asks what made you interested in the First Mentors Program? seventeen_amy_jo I was attracted to First Mentors program because of all the mentors I had growing up that were so important to me. Just so college students, it's actually a more flexible program than the standard Big Brother/Big Sisters porgram. Because they know how heavy a workload college can have. callagk1 asks Will anyone on Felicity get invloved in volunteering this year, like the First Mentors program? seventeen_amy_jo I think that's a good idea. I'll ask them lancefamily asks AMY, are you able to walk down the street without being noticed still? Or are you approached a lot? seventeen_amy_jo Every now and then. Not too often. JHRAV asks I enjoy your music - did you have formal training? seventeen_amy_jo I had a little bit of training when I went to AMDA. But not much. shakina_99 asks You seem very down to earth. Do you try to not let fame change you as a person? seventeen_amy_jo I don't think I really have to try. I think when my mother was sick last year I really realized all the important things in life. ChaosAngel99 asks What kind of advice would you give someone who knows nothing about showbiz but would like to get into it one day? seventeen_amy_jo The only reason to ever get into showbiz is if you really love your art. jennlallen asks I want you to know that you were absolutely terrific in "Sweetwater". Did you actually sing the songs? Will there be a soundtrack? seventeen_amy_jo Yes I did sing the songs. There will be a soundtrack but it will have Nansi Nevins, the original singer's voice. Njord4 asks Which character traits do you like most about your character? seventeen_amy_jo The traits I most love about Julie are her strength and her sense of humor and her musical talent. schnids410 asks If you were stranded on an island and you could only have 3 things what would they be? seventeen_amy_jo My dog and my cat -- Lucy and Stella and my guitar. zmandy asks what do you do in your free time when your not filming? seventeen_amy_jo I paint, play guitar, hang out with my friends. One of the best is probably not to listen to criticism, good or bad. just focus on the work. I never really thought about it. There are no rules in life. pmw2759 asks If you had the choice, would you rather stay in and watch a great movie while eating popcorn, or would you be out at a club dancing? seventeen_amy_jo Definitely staying in watching a great movie.
