Julie Emrick
Julie EmrickGirl that you'd like to be around. She can be a good friend, and she's pretty smart for a freshman. Smart about life, that is. She came to New York to meet her real mother, the mother who birthed her. Julie was adopted. She's in poetry class and she plays the guitar. She has a certain honesty to her, which is one of the reasons she and Felicity are becoming friends.

Amy Jo Johnson
Julie Emrick in "Felicity"

Amy Jo JohnsonBest known to audiences for her starring role as the Pink Power Ranger on "The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers", Amy Jo Johnson is poised to launch a dramatic career as Julie Emrick in "Felicity". "The character of Julie is also on a coming-of-age journey, similar to Felicity's", says Johnson. "She's just beginning to embrace people as she discovers who she really is. And at the same time, she's still very concerned about what others may think of her".

Born and raised on Cape Cod, Massachusetts, this small-town girl always wanted to perform. Amy Jo developed a taste for the limelight while competing all over the world as a gymnast before the age of 17. She honed her acting skills in community theater and while studying at New York's American Musical Dramatic Academy after graduating from high school. Two years later, she moved to California.

Her first professional job was a perfect fit, since as one of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Johnson as able to combine both her athletic and acting talents. After 2 1/2 years on the phenomenal hit series plus two major motion pictures, Johnson was ready to stretch her talent in new projects.

She left the series and immersed herself in classes and theater, including a production of "Much Ado About Nothing" at Pasadena's Knightsbridge Theater. Ensuing parts were dramatic, including the television movie "Killing Mr. Griffin" about a group of high school students who kidnap their teacher and "Perfect Body" in which she starred as an anorexic gymnast.
